The Children’s Area
A dedicated children’s area will provide a wide range of activities designed to entertain and educate. It will give children, parents and teachers from different communities the opportunity to learn and be enthused by food and nature through planting workshops and hands on cookery classes.

We’re working with Magic Breakfast, raising funds to ensure that every child can get a healthy breakfast before school. We need you to help out too; by bringing along some healthy tuck shop goodies, which can be sold on the day. Keep an eye on the Facebook page, we’ll be posting loads of ideas for seasonal spooky eats, which are not only fun, but also healthy.

Autumn = pumpkins! We’ve got some awesome pumpkin carvers joining us for the day. Come and be bedazzled with their creative genius. You can bring your own pumpkin or buy one from the lovely lot at the Community Farm, who’ll be joining us in the market.

Spooky skeleton, warty witch, cute cat? The options for Halloween are endless! We’re challenging you to come with your best foot forwards for our fancy dress competition. Prizes for the best (or scariest) dressed.
Wanted to be a witch, but ended up in a pumpkin costume? No worries – our warts and all face painters will be here to transform you!
What’s the best thing to stop vampires? Garlic! Come and plant your own at Love Food Festival, to keep those monsters at bay.
